“Literature is an inter play between language and feelings. Unfortunately, there has been a steep decline in the number of readers of literature. Considering this disturbing trend, efforts should be made to keep literature and language alive and effect a fusion of music and literature to link feelings and thoughts”, said Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, editor of Sambad here on Monday.

SRPSpeaking on the occasion of release of an anthology of lyrics “Giti Deepana” and an anthology of poems “Sabda Shinjani” by well-known poet Sitakanta Mohanty at Jayadev Bhawan here as the chief guest, he said the younger generations, which is in love with the computer, should be inspired to fall in love with their mother-tongue.

In his address, eminent children’s litterateur Das Benhur said no literature can survive without a society.
