Commissionerate Police today arrested four juveniles aged between 15 and 17 years for their alleged role in looting electronic gadgets from their alma mater, Bhramarabara Vidyapitha,Tamando in the Odisha capital.
The Tamando police have seized from their possession 2 CPUs, 4 monitors, 4 keyboards, 4 mouses, one dongle and one memory chip which they had looted from the school worth lakhs of rupees. The police have also seized 22 mobile phones, looted from the mobile shops located in the Tamando police jurisdiction from them.
Of the four juveniles, three had passed out from the Bhramarabara Vidyapitha, and are doing Plus Two in a city based residential college. The fourth one is a student of 10th standard in the same school.
The local police, who had registered two cases in the matter in September after receiving complaints from the school authority and shop owners, swung into action today following information from a reliable source and nabbed the four juveniles from the Tamando area.
Police said the arrested juveniles have been forwarded to a local court here and will be sent to the Juvenile Justice Board, Khordha for further action.
