Nabarangpur, Nov 24:
Four Congress activists including a councillor were detained by police this morning before Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s visit to Nabarangpur district.
Security has been tightened by the district administration ahead of Patnaik’s programme here. A total of 46 platoons of police force have been deployed across the district to prevent any untoward incident, a police official said.
Notably, more than 100 workers of BJP and Congress parties were detained by police yesterday before the Chief Minister’s visit to Bargarh and Deogarh districts.
Worth mentioning, BJD MLAs are facing stiff opposition across the state during their visits to different districts in the form of waving of black flags and hurling of eggs at them.
