The 6th edition of the State Level Folk Dance and Folk Music Festival will start from second April at Utkal Mandap, announced the Culture Department, government of Odisha, in a press meet here today.
About 2000 folk artists (Music and Dance) from all over the state will participate in the folk festival to be staged in the Utkal Mandap Open Air Audiorium from April 2 to April 4, 2016.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the festival on 2nd April at 6.30 pm, informed the officials.
The festival is being organized since 2011 to explore and promote the dying folk dance and music and to provide livelihood support to the folk artists of the state by the Culture Department.
