Flesh trade in Odisha capital : Two more arrested

Continuing with its drive to stop flesh trade in city, the Commissionerate Police today arrested two more persons for allegedly running a sex rackets in beauty parlours owned by them in Odisha’s capital city Bhubaneswar.

The two accused were identified as Rupesh Parida alias Bapi and Prasanjeet Ray alias Jeet, both of whom hail from Budheswari area under Laxmisagar police limits.

Rupesh is the owner of two beauty parlours- One star and U-like, while Prasanjeet was running a massage parlour at plot no-9 in the Budheswari colony.

According to reports, the police got the names of the duo while interrogating the customers and sex workers arrested by the police team on May 29.

The police had arrested six persons from the parlour owned by Rupesh while three were arrested from Prasanjeet massage parlour.

Police have slapped sections 3,4,5,7,8 of the Immoral Traffic (prevention) act, 1956 against the accused.
