Five Maoists including 4 women surrender in Odisha’s Sundargarh district

Bonai, Oct 25:

Five Maoist cadres including four women surrendered at the K Balang police station in the Bonai sub division of Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Friday, police said today.

The Maoists have been identified as Sukra Mani Kerketa alias Suneeta, Mamata Bhadra, Chaitu Karkas, Chamari Munda and Gouri Naik, police said.

It may be mentioned here that the district police had announced Rs 1 lakh cash reward for information about Suneeta.

They are from Kiriburu in neighbouring Jharkhand and Sundargarh district in Odisha.

The red rebels were involved in several crimes under K Balanga police limits in Sundargarh district during 2005-11, police said.

They will be provided with rehabilitation package after reports are obtained from the review committee, police added.
