The first phase of Tata Steel’s six million tonne (MT) plant at Kalinganagar in Jajpur district is likely to be commissioned by March 2015.
In a release here on Friday, managing director, SEA (South East Asia) Operations of Tata Steel India TV Narendran said work on the first phase of the Rs 25,164 crore project at Kalinaganar is the largest ongoing single location investment with the first integrated greenfield project for the company outside Jamshedpur.
The project is divided into two units of 3 MT each and will produce flat steel products for the automobile industry, he added.
