First phase Plus Three admissions begin in Odisha

The first phase admission in the Plus Three Sciences, Arts, Commerce streams began in Odisha today.

The admission, which began in 705 colleges from 9 AM to 5 PM, will continue till July 23.

There are a total of 2,00,094 Plus Three seats in the state.

“We have asked the students to bring original mark sheet, migration certificate, High School certificate and two passport sized photographs for verification during admission. Besides, they have been asked to take admission in the college of their choice they have been informed otherwise they would be debarred from taking admission in the current academic session,” admission in-charge, Higher Education, Mihir Das told the media today.

He said the department has set up 464 SAMS centres in the state to help the students at the time of admission.

Das, however, informed that there have been changes in the date of admission in Plus Three streams.

“Since the Nabakalebara Rath Yatra is on July 18 and the next day being Sunday, the students selected for first phase admission, have been informed through e-mail and SMS to take admission between July 16 and 23,” he added.

The first cut-off marks for admission in the Plus Three streams in Odisha was announced on Wednesday.

Students, who have been selected in the first phase admission, can also download their intimation letters from the website of the Higher Education department www.dheodisha.gov.in

The second cutoff marks would be announced on July 27 while the admission would be held between July 29 and July 31.

“If there are any vacant seats in the colleges after the second phase admission, the colleges would announce a list selected candidates on August 5 for spot admission which will be held on August 6. The regular classes will start from August 7. The department would come up with a notification to this effect very soon”, Das said.
