For the first time ever, East Coast Railway (ECoR) would run a special train from Bhawanipatna to Puri for the Rath Yatra scheduled to be held in the pilgrim town of Odisha on June 29.
The train will start from Bhawanipatna at 0830 hours on June 28 and reach Puri at 0330 hours on June 29.
The train will run via Titlagarh, Bolangir, Sambalpur and Angul with stoppages at all en route stations, an ECoR release said today.
It may be mentioned that special Rath Yatra trains to Puri are being run from Howrah, Visakhapatnam, Palasa, Kharagpur, Kendujhargarh, Bhadrak, Sambalpur, Brahmapur, Paradeep and Cuttack.
All the special trains provided by ECoR are excluding the regular trains running on these routes during the period.
This year, ECoR connects almost all parts of Odisha including important stations of neighbouring West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh.
The regular trains from other neighbouring states like Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand are also arriving at the morning at Puri daily.
