Cuttack, Jun 25:
The Cuttack Development Authority on Wednesday issued show cause notices to 28 more allottees, who had illegally availed multiple plots and houses under discretionary quota (DQ) allotment policy of the Odisha government.
“The allottees have been asked to reply within a month why their allotment should not be cancelled”, said CDA vice chairman Pratap Das.
He said the CDA had earlier issued show cause notices to 30 allottees who have availed more than one plot and house under DQ.
“We are going by the report and recommendation of the task force. As per its recommendation, we have so far issued 58 show cause notices to the allottees who have availed multiple allotments in their name and those who have availed more than one house and plot in the name of their husband or wife,” Das said.
The CDA has so far sent 194 files to the State Vigilance department to look into irregularities in the allotment of plots and houses under DQ.
