A function was organized within the port premises on Tuesday in which nearly 200 differently children from two residential schools – namely, Binapani Hellen Kellar Special School for Blind, Deaf and Dumb and the Mahaveer School for Deaf and Dumb – in Bhadrak participated.  The programme for the special children was appropriately named “Taare Zameen Par”.

Since many of these children are orphans and don’t know their dates of birth, an en-masse birthday celebrations was organized for them by the port authorities and gifts were distributed to every child.

Chief Operating Officer of DPCL Subrat Kumar Tripathy and other senior officials of the port presented prizes to 12 differently able children who had excelled in the fields of art, sports and dance.
