Dhamra LNG terminal ground breaking ceremony; Odisha CM invited

Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today invited Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to attend the ‘Bhumi Pujan’ (ground breaking ceremony) of LNG Terminal of Dhamra Port.

Pradhan has written a letter to Patnaik requesting him to attend the ‘Bhumi Pujan’ programme scheduled to be held at Dhamra Port in Bhadrak district on July 8.

The Union Minister said that while construction of the terminal would entail an investment of Rs 6,000 crore, a sum of Rs 4,500 crore would be invested for pipeline and city gas distribution programme.

A total of 2,539 km of gas pipeline network would be laid, he added.

Pradhan said the country’s eastern states including Odisha would be benefitted by the project.
