Talking to media persons  at the Lohia Academy here after the state executive committee  meeting of the party, AAP leaders said although the party secured merely 0.7 per cent votes in the Lok Sabha election and 0.6 per cent votes in the Vidhan Sabha electio, it accepted the challenge to do substantive work in the field and to be with the public in the issues of their concern.

State Convener, Nishikanta Mohapatra emphasised the fact that this election was an opportunity for organisation building. By fielding 106 candidates for Vidhan Sabha and 18 candidates for the Lok Sabha, the party has achieved its preliminary objective of geographical expansion and cadre mobilisation. He also emphasised the fact that the party will fill up the opposition space in the state and will question the state government about its anti people policies and corruption charges.

Lingaraj Pradhan, the chief spokesperson of the party, urged party members to build up the organisation from the grassroots level and to strengthen the ideological orientation of the cadres.

The party executive took note of the nefarious design of the NDA government and the false charges against the national convener of AAP Arvind Kejriwal. It strongly supported the high moral stand taken by Kejriwal not to take bail bond and to prefer jail.

Simultaneously, the state unit demanded the initiation of an immediate inquiry into corruption charges against Nitin Gadkari and immediate release of Kejriwal from jail.
