Bhubaneswar, Oct 29:
The agro meteorology department of the Odisha University of Agriculture Technology (OUAT) has said that winter will set in across Odisha from today but would be interrupted by a brief three-day warm phase in the first week of November.
“As there is no impact of Cyclone Nilofar on Odisha, the flow of northerly wind towards the state would become normal from today and that would bring down the night temperature by 1-2 degree Celsius, as a result of which, most parts of northern and western Odisha would be relatively colder”, said Dr Surendranath Pasupalak, head of the agro meteorology department of OUAT.
He said there will be a rise in the night temperature in Odisha after November 2 but the temperature would fall appreciably after November 5.
The Met Centre in Bhubaneswar said due to zero impact of Cyclone Nilofar, the state will have dry weather with clear sky, which will bring down the night temperature considerably across the state
