Cuttack, Mar 14:
The gangster siblings -Sushant and Sushil Dhalasamanta (D-brothers)-were today transferred from Choudwar Circle Jail to two separate jails in the state amid tight security.
A directive in this regard has been issued to the respective jails by the ADG (Prisons).
The eldest of the two–Sushant– was first to be taken out of the jail and transferred to Jharpara Special Jail in Bhubaneswar in a white Bolero. A few minutes later, Sushil was transferred in a van to Balasore.
“Cuttack is now unsafe, save it”, said Sushil Dhalasamant while being shifted to Balasore jail.
It may be recalled that the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court on March 11 had allowed the Odisha police to shift Sushant and Sushil Dhalasamanta from Choudwar Circle Jail to other jails in the state over security concerns.
Notably, the Twin City Commissionerate Police had filed a petition in the SDJM court on March 1 seeking transfer of the duo from Choudwar Circle Jail to elsewhere for inadequate security arrangements.
