In the first semifinal at Nimpur Ground, Bolangir beat Bhubaneswar by 7 wickets.
Put into bat, Bhubaneswar scored 99 for 5 in the allotted 35 overs with Priyanka Sahu and Babli Verma scoring 33 not out and 23 runs respectively.
For Bolangir, Rajeswari Nag claimed two wickets while Sarita Mehera and Swatirani Patnaik bagged one wicket each.
In reply, Bolangir reached the target in 30.1 overs.
For Bolangir, Rosanara Parwin remained not out at 32 while Bandana Priyadarshini Hanuman and Madhuri Meheta chipped in with an unbeaten 29 and 23 runs.
For Bhubaneswar, Babli Verma claimed two wickets.
In the second semifinal match at Ravenshaw Ground-I, Cuttack beat Jajpur by two runs.
In reply to Cuttack’s 122 for 8 in 35 overs, Jajpur fell short by two runs as they were all out for 120.
Cuttack’s innings was powered by Padmini Barik and Madhusmita Behera who scored 36 and 32 runs respectively while Jyoti Kamal, Swagatika Rath and Rupashree Lenka scored 33, 30 and 25 not out for Jajpur.
Jyoti Kamal and Rupashree Lenka were the pick of the bowlers of Jajpur with two wickets each while Gangotri Behera, CH Arati and Banalata Mallick of Cuttack claimed two wickets each.
The final match would be played at Nimpur Ground tomorrow.
