Acting on a disproportionate assets complaint, Vigilance sleuths today conducted simultaneous raids on the residence of an Odisha government employee and unearthed properties worth over Rs 1 crore.
As per reports, the sleuths raided the residence of Transport Department Driver Seikh Gulam Hyder Ali at Khurda, Nayagarh and Dumuduma and Sundarpada in Bhubaneswar.
The officials seized pass books of over 20 bank accounts, 250gm gold ornaments and other savings instruments during the raid, sources said.
Ali is believed to have more assets. The investigation is still continuing and more assets may be uncovered, said a Vigilance official.
