Vigilance sleuths today conducted a raid on the residence of an employee of Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) posted in Odisha’s Malkangiri district.
Acting on complaints of amassing disproportionate assets, the anti-corruption wing officials raided the residence of Himansu Sekhar Panda posted as junior engineer of ITDA here. The raids were conducted at five places simultaneously, including in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
According to Vigilance sources, over six bank accounts, two licensed guns, 12 live bullets, gold jewellery, cash, luxury car and scooter has been seized. Bank deposits of over Rs 90 lakh, a residential plot in the name of Panda’s wife in Badagada area have been unearthed.
Besides, two triple-storey buildings at CDA Sector-9 in Cuttack and Badagada Brit Colony in Bhubaneswar have also been detected. The officials have estimated the wealth at Rs 2.01 crore.
Meanwhile, Panda remained off the hook of the sleuths.
