Crackers hurled during NSUI polls in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: 

High intensity crackers were hurled today at a mandap in Dumuduma area of Odisha capital while National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) polls were being conducted at the place.

There has been no damage to life or property caused by the cracker explosion.

Locals speculate that the incident was intended to disrupt the polls and have been carried out by political rivals. The cops have reached the scene and are investigating the matter.

Notably, the Student’s Congress polls were being conducted on the mandap while two miscreants hurled the crackers and fled from the scene.
