Bhubaneswar, Mar 15:
CPI MLA from Chhatrapur Adikanda Sethi has been suspended from the party for violating party discipline, reports said.
The party had on March 13 announced Krushna Nayak as the candidate for Chhatrapur in place of Sethi.
Sethi was allegedly trying for getting a BJD ticket for the ensuing Assembly elections,CPI sources said.
“Sethi has been suspended for breach of discipline, lack of confidence in the party and objectionable relation with the ruling party,” said Dibakar Nayak, CPI state unit secretary here.
Nayak said Sethi was denied ticket because of unsatisfactory performance at the ground level.
