Cooch Behar Trophy: Odisha skittled out for 63

A five-wicket haul by MK Dutta helped Assam skittle out Odisha for a paltry 63 in their first innings on the first day of the U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy at Jorhat in Assam on Sunday.
cricketWinning the toss, Assam skipper Washiqur Rahman asked Odisha to bat.

The visitors began the innings on a dismal note as none of the batsmen except SP Senapati (12) and M Hussain (11) could able to reach double figure.

For Assam, Dutta returned with 5 for 10 and was well supported by Amar Alam and RK Ahmed who chipped in three and two wickets respectively.

In reply, the hosts were 187 for 6 at the draw of stumps with a lead of 124 runs.

HG Tamuli (79) and DJ Das (42) were the two top scorers.

For Odisha, K Dasmanikpuri was the most successful bowler who claimed 3 wickets for 54.
