Cooch Behar Trophy: Odisha battling for a draw

Odisha were battling for a draw against Goa on the third day of the U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy Plate-B match against Goa at Ravenshaw ground here on Tuesday.

The hosts, who began at 48-2, were bowled out for 222. The-Independent-cricket-pro (1)

Barring Subranshu Senapati (67) and Amrit Khatua (42), the remaining batsmen got out quickly.

For Jharkhand, Lakshay Garg and Vedanta Naik took four and three wickets respectively.

After being asked to follow on by Goa skipper Snehal Kauthankar, Odisha their second innings managed to hang on without losing any wicket with the score at 20 at the close of play.

The hosts have to fight hard for a draw on the last day of the match on Wednesday.
