Bhubaneswar, Jun 30:
The youth wing of Odisha Congress today took out a motorbike rally from its Master Canteen square office to the ADM office in Bhubaneswar highlighting the rising unemployment in the state and the failure of the State and Union Government in creating jobs.
Led by top leaders of the party including PCC president Prasad Harichandan, former PCC chief Niranjan Patnaik and senior leader Lalatendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra (Lulu) among others, hundreds of Congress supporters staged a demonstration in front of ADM office and were seen shouting anti-government slogans.
“Naveen Patnaik government has failed drastically in every aspect even after being in power for 17 years. All his promises have turned out to be fake. The new generation has lost hope. There is no employment in industries sector as the industries did not make any progress because of government incompetence. There are no government jobs on offer either,” said Niranjan Patnaik speaking to reporters.
He further targeted Modi government over the issue.
“No green field project has become functional in the entire country in last two years. There is no scope for medium and small scale industries either. The ‘Achhe Din’ of Modi is a betrayal,” he added.
