PCC president Prasad Harichandan, leader of the opposition in the Odisha Assembly Narsingh Mishra, AICC deputy in-charge in Odisha Subhankar Sarkar, senior Congress leaders Hemananda Biswal, Kishore Patel, the party’s MLAs from Sundergarh district Prafulla Majhi and Jogendra Singh and several leaders and workers of the party have taken part in the Yatra.

The grand old party’s ‘Jana Jagaran Yatra’ aims to educate people on the high level of corruption, misdeeds and failures of the BJD government in the state which include the chit fund scam, farmer suicides  and ration card scam. The party has also attacked BJD for its links with the notorious Dhalasamanta brothers now in jail.

Party workers marched the seven kilometer stretch from Karamdihi chhak in Subdega block to the newly constructed Congress Bhawan in Adarsh Nagar.
