Berhampur: Girls not only outshine boys in studies and other fields including defence and sports, but also great asset to their family to help them in everything. A college girl from Odisha’s Ganjam district has set an example for others by helping her father in ploughing farmland for livelihood.
Shivani, 17, youngest daughter of Alekha Chandra Jani of Surangigarh village under Patrapur block in Ganjam district, is a Plus Two second year student of Khariguda Doki Sanyasi College. She used to help her father in agriculture work every morning before going to college for study.
According to reports, economic condition of Alekha declined after marriage of his two daughters. But, Shivani came forward to help her father in everything. She took responsibility of entire family along with continuing her study. Every day, she goes to farmland and ploughs one acre with bullocks. Even she helps her father right from ploughing to seeds sowing and harvesting.
Like son of a family, Shivani does everything for family without any complaint with her parents.
