After a week of cloudy weather under the influence of Cyclone Helen, most parts of Odisha have now come under the grip of cold wave.
According to the Met office here, Phulbani recorded the lowest night temperature at 7.8 degree Celsius on Tuesday. Besides Phulbani, mercury dipped to single digit in Sonepur (8), Keonjhargarh (9.3) and Sundargarh (9.9).
In a release here on Wednesday, the Met office said that intense cold wave condition would continue to prevail in the state in the next 48 hours.
