Cold wave continues to grip interior, western Odisha


Bhubaneswar: Mercury continues to drop in interior and western parts of Odisha with three places recording temperature below 10 degree Celsius.

While the minimum temperature in Phulbani was 7 degree Celsius, Daringbadi recorded 8 degree Celsius and Hirakud 8.9 degree Celsius.

Total 19 places recorded temperature below 15 degree Celsius on Tuesday night. The mercury is likely to drop by 2 degree Celsius towards December 2 and 3.

Meanwhile, the MeT predicted low pressure over the Bay of Bengal in next two days. The temperature is likely to be increased in southern part of Odisha on December 4.

Since the cold breeze is blowing from north-east and north-west affecting the central parts of India, Odisha is also shivering under intense cold wave.

Currently, the weather remains dry in entire Odisha. The cold wave is likely to grip the state till December 2 and 3.
