In order to avoid rush on regular trains, East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to add additional coaches permanently in Pune, Tirupati and Bangiriposi bound trains from the Odisha capital with immediate effect.
While 22871/22872 Bhubaneswar-Tirupati-Bhubaneswar Express and 22882/22881 Bhubaneswar-Pune-Bhubaneswar Express will be augmented with two additional general second class coaches each with effect from November 22 and 25 respectively, 12892/12891 Bhubaneswar-Bangiriposi-Bhubaneswar Express will be augmented with one AC chair car coach.
ECoR has also added extra coaches temporarily in important trains towards different destinations of the country from its jurisdiction according to the feasibility and demands from the passengers.
Temporary augmentation of coaches in several express trains is being done by attaching additional coache based on an analysis of the Passenger Traffic Profile (PTO) on various routes, an ECoR release said on Thursday.
