CM inaugurates Dhauli PS in Odisha capital

Aiming to provide better security to visitors coming to the tourist spot of Dhauli and its adjacent areas, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the newly created Dhauli Police station in the city.

The other adjacent areas that will come under the jurisdiction of the new police station are Shishupalagada, Dhauli, Itipur and Tikarapada panchayats.

The police station, built on a 3650-sq-ft area, has a counselling room, an interrogation room and five hajats.

One inspector, two sub-inspectors, two assistant sub-inspectors, one havildar, 10 constables and one driver have been appointed for the Dhauli police station.

Odisha Police built the Dhauli Police station at a cost of Rs. 77 lakhs, sources said.

With the setting up of this new police station, the number of police stations under Commissionerate Police stands to 43.
