CM felicitates winning Odisha Police contingent


Bhubaneswar: A contingent of the Odisha Police that had participated in the Independence Day parade in Kolkata this year and won the ‘Best Marching Contingent’ award, was felicitated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat today.

The contingent was adjudged as the Best Marching Contingent amongst all the armed police contingents from West Bengal and Para Military Forces. It had received the award from West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The officials of the winning contingent presented the trophy to Patnaik. Congratulating them for the achievement, the CM said their performance has brought laurels for the state.
