Bhubaneswar, Sep 16:
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today felicitated Indian Idol Junior season -2 winner Ananya Sritam Nanda at the state secretariat after she reached Bhubaneswar this morning.
“All of us are very proud of Ananya. Many many congratulations to her,” said a beaming Chief Minister.
Ananya was given a warm reception by the eagerly waiting crowd on her arrival at Biju Patnaik International Airport here this morning.
She was also given a grand welcome at the DAV Public School Pokhariput where she studies. An ecstatic Ananya sang for the audience and her schoolmates on the occasion and shared her experience of the reality show.
“I love Lata Mangeskar’s songs. That is what inspired me to sing. Besides, I also admire Shreya Ghosal. She is my idol. She also started her career from a reality show. It inspires me,” said the teen sensation.
Sharing her experience about the show, she was all praises for Bollywood diva Sonakshi Sinha, who was one of the judges of the show.
“Sonakshi ma’am is so nice; very sweet as a person. She always inspires us. Even though she herself is not a singer, every time she gives us feedback after our performances, she appears to be someone who understands music well. I am never going to be able to forget those moments. I don’t sing to win competitions, I sing because I love singing,” she added.
Notably, she had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his office yesterday along with her family and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan where she was congratulated by the Prime Minister.
