The occupants of an SUV had a miraculous escape today as the vehicle in which they were travelling fell off a hill in Odisha’s Ganjam district.
At least seven people sustained serious injuries after their car lost control and fell 70 feet down at Tara Tarini hills under Purusottampur block in Ganjam district this morning. Fortunately, the car got stuck to a tree after skidding off the hill which saved the lives of the passengers without causing much harm to them.
The passengers hailing from Hirakud near western Odisha town of Sambalpur were on their return journey after offering prayers at the Tara Tarini temple when the mishap occured.
The injured were rushed to MKCG Medical College and Hospital for treatment. They were rescued with the help of fire tender officials and local people.
