The Chhatisha Nijog of Shri Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri town will have a meeting today on the smooth conduct of the first Nabakalebara Rath Yatra of the 21st century scheduled on July 18.
The meeting will have a detailed discussion on the arrangements for the Bahada Yatra, Suna Vesha of the Lords. Besides, the rituals and their schedule during the festivity would also figure at the meeting. The members of the Nijog will have their opinion on proper coordination among them, at the meeting.
The meeting, to be presided over by the chief administrator of Shri Jagannath Temple Admnistration (SJTA) Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, will be attended by the Nayak of Chhatisha Nijog, Janardan Pattajoshi Mohapatra and the officebearers of all Nijogs of the temple.
“I have reposed my total faith on the Lords and all members of Chhatisha Nijog who have assured me of total support. We will discharge our duties to the Lords sincerely. We do not expect anything from the temple administration”, the Chhatisha Nijog Nayak said.
“There is cooperation and intimacy among the members of all Nijogs who are ready to sort out any problem. We are confident that the Nabakalebara Ratha Yatra this would be held smoothly, said Rajat Kumar Pratihari, secretary of Garabadu Nijog.
