Central Government will consider operationalizing Rangeilunda airstrip, if Odisha government submits a proposal, said Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju addressing a gathering in Berhampur today.
Addressing the gathering along with Odisha BJP leaders and Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Hansraj Gangaram Ahir on occasion of ‘Vikas Parv’, TDP MP Raju took the audience through the major achievements of NDA government in general and his department in particular.
Speaking on the occasion, Fertilizers Minister Ahir said that the Central Government will consider, if Odisha Government submits a project proposal for setting up a fertiliser plant in Berhampur and provides land for it.
“Narendra Modi led NDA government has been in Center since past two years. It is functioning in a transparent and dedicated manner for the people. We have formulated many new policies and have achieved many successes. The Prime Minister and the party chief Amit Shah have asked us to go among the public and explain our achievements,” said Ahir.
‘We are expanding our Talcher unit in Odisha. It is being rebuilt completely. We have been considering basing the plant on coal. It is still in the pipeline and we will build it,” he added.
Odisha will benefit immensely from the coal block auction. It will get Rs 54,000 crores from the coal auction, pointed out the Fertilizers minister citing the steps NDA government has taken for backward states in the eastern flank including Odisha.
