Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) class 10th and 12th examinations began today. As many as 14, 99, 122 lakh students will appear for class 10th exams and 10, 67, 900 lakh examinees will appear for their 12th class final exams today. For smooth and trouble free examinations CBSE has instructed schools to take help of local police.
The CBSE Bhubaneswar Regional Office comprises of schools from Odisha, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal.
Bhubaneswar Regional officer, Lakhan Lal Meena, has said that all preparation has been made for the proper conduct of the exam.
This year in Bhubaneswar region, 67, 808 students will appear for class 10th exams, out of which 36, 820 are boys and 27,988 are girls. In Plus-II, 51, 181 students will sit in Bhubaneswar region out of which 31, 263 are boys and 29, 128 are girl students.
In Bhubaneswar region, 186 exam centres have been established and flying squads have been deputed to prevent malpractice during exams. Teachers from selected schools have been appointed as observers.
The exams for class 10th will continue till March 28 and class 12th exams will end on April 22.
The results will come out on the second week of May.
