The much awaited results of CBSE – All India Pre-Medical/ Pre-Dental Entrance Test – AIPMT – 2014 were declared today.

Candidates can also download their result sheets and rank cards from the official website. However, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has prepared the merit list/ wait list as per the directives of the Supreme Court of India, DGHS, MCI and DCI.
CBSE had released the OMR sheets of AIPMT few days back wherein the candidates were provided a chance to challenge them in case of discrepancies. However, there is no process entertained for re-evaluation and re-checking of answer sheets.
The exam paper consisted of 180 multiple choice objective questions in total from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) which were solved within the time duration of 180 minutes. The syllabus was comprised topics from Class 11 and Class 12, both.
The records of All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test will be preserved till the August 31.
AIPMT or the All India Pre Medical/ Entrance Test is held to provide admissions to candidates who wish to pursue Medical and Dental courses to 15 per cent seats in government colleges. Also, some participating, private colleges accept AIPMT score.
A total of 46271 candidates have qualified the test for counselling for admission in Medical/Dental colleges on the basis of the qualifying criteria prescribed by the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India out of a total of 523701 candidates who appeared in All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Test – 2014 held on 04.05.2014 (Sunday). 18115 candidates have qualified for 15% All India Quota Seats out of which 9716 numbers are male candidates and 8399 are female candidates The test was conducted at 929 examination centres located in 50 cities including one abroad, said an official release of the CBSE.
The Candidates can access their result on www.aipmt.nic.in, www.cbse.nic.in and www.cbseresults.nic.in. The Result sheet of the candidates who appeared in the AIPMT indicates marks obtained in each subject, All India PMT Rank, Rank for All India Quota Seats and State Quota seats. The cut off score for counselling under All India Quota Seats is also provided in the Result Sheet.
The release stated that qualified candidates have to further complete the formalities with the respective Counselling Authorities, such as, DGHS, Medical Education Directorates of States, AFMC, Institutions and Universities, etc. for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses.
The details and schedule of Counselling would be available on the websites of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education Directorates of States, AFMC, Institutions and Universities concerned.
The counselling would be conducted by the respective Counselling Authorities subject to rules and norms for admission in Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges under their ambit
The following States/Universities/Institutions Directorate of Medical Education, Govt. of Chhatisgarh, Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, Govt. of Haryana, Directorate of Medical Education, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh, Deptt. of Health, Medical Education & Family Welfare, Govt. of Jharkhand, Directorate of Medical Education, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, Medial Directorate, Govt. of Manipur, Directorate of Technical Education, Nagaland, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Odisha, Deptt. of Medical Education & Research, Govt. of Punjab, Govt. Medical College & Hospital, UT Govt. of Chandigarh, Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi, Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (UP) and Hamdard University, New Delhi participated in AIPMT – 2014.

Declaring the results of the test that was held May 4, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said that of the 579,707 candidates registered for AIPMT-2014, 523,701 appeared in the exam – which was held at 929 centres, located in 50 cities across India including one centre located abroad.
“The result of AIPMT-2014 has been declared on the basis of the qualifying criteria prescribed by the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India,” the CBSE said in a statement.
“The candidates have to further complete the formalities with the respective counselling authorities for admission to MBBS/BDS courses,” it added.
Of the total qualified candidates, 18,115 passed under the 15 percent all India quota seats, of which 9,716 are male and 8,399 are female.
As per CBSE, the results can be accessed online. Details and schedule of counselling sessions would be available on the web sites of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education Directorates of states, and the institutions and universities concerned.
