Balasore, Dec 11:

A day after CBI questioned BJD Balasore MP Rabindra Jena for about seven hours for his alleged links with Odisha based chit fund company Seashore Group, Jena today asserted that the investigation will not affect his political career in anyway.

“CBI investigation is nothing new. It has interrogated many national level leaders earlier. I have told the agency everything it wanted to know. It won’t affect my political career in anyway. It would not impact my popularity,” said Jena speaking to reporters in Balasore today.

Meanwhile, Congress veteran Niranjan Patnaik linked the CBI questioning of the MP with the ever-changing dynamics of BJD and BJP.

“After a lull, it appears that CBI has become active once again. It is hard to get the drama played by BJD and BJP. While Amit Shah comes to the state and pulls up the State Government, Arun Jaitley comes here to admire Naveen,” said Patnaik.

“While Rajnath admires Naveen and calls him an honest man, BJD – that supported demonetisation initially — has started opposing it in the Assembly. Both the parties change their stand too often,” he added.
