As per the announcement, Birendra Lakra, who powered the Indian team to a gold medal in the men’s hockey final, will receive Rs 2.5 lakh while four women hockey players—Deep Grace Ekka, Sunita Lakra, Namita Toppo and Lilima Minz—would receive Rs 75,000 each for their brilliant show as the women’s team bagged a bronze medal.

  1. What a poor award…for gold medal govt is giving only 2.5lakh where as Tamilnadu govt has awarded 50 lakh each for gold and Rs. 30 lakh each for Silver & Rs. 20 lakh each for Bronze medallists to eleven players who won the medals in Asian game.

Do you think that odisha govt is encouraging more athelets or asking them to go to other state and play for them.

Odisha govt please wake up, you need go long way to match with other states. nothing will happen by giving this Rs1 Rice and free package to poor people,, you need to create job opportunity so that the poor can earn money to buy rice, you need not to feed them.. look at outside(other state)…. Jai Jagannath, save this state…
