Campaign for CMC polls ends

Campaigning for the elections to the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC), scheduled on February 6, ended on Tuesday.

A total of 3, 94,810 voters in 59 wards would exercise their franchise in 422 booths.

Talking to OST, Election Officer Laxmidhar Mohanty said of the total booths in the city, 253 have been identified as sensitive and 20 as hyper-sensitive.

“Steps have been taken to install CCTV cameras in these 20 booths”, Mohanty said.

The voters would decide the fate of 350 candidates contesting the polls.
