Tight bowling by the Odisha bowlers restricted the TNCA Presidents XI innings to 338 on the first day of the ongoing Buchi Babu All India Invitational Cricket tournament at Chennai today, reports said.
Electing to bat, TNCA were all out for 338 in 99.5 overs.
Though the middle order batsman Basudev Das (81), wicketkeeper Sunil U (54) and opener Abhinav Mukund (55) were the major contributors, the team failed to rev up the run rate due to fine bowling by the Odisha bowlers.
With four wickets, Dheeraj Singh was the pick of the bowlers.
Suryakanta Pradhan, Paresh Patel and Tukuna Sahoo also bagged three, two and one wicket respectively.
As per the rules of the two-day match, two teams will play 100 overs each.
