Today, the flow of vehicles on National Highway 49 was impeded since a canal bridge collapsed close to Baniakilinda in the Deogarh district of Odisha.
It has been reported that the Bengasula Canal bridge here has fallen as a result of the persistent rains that have been occurring in the region. According to the sources, the collapse of the bridge was caused by a crack in the bridge’s central pillar.
The tragedy had a significant impact on the transport system that runs between Mumbai and Kolkata. According to the reports, there were still hundreds of trucks parked on both sides of the roadway.
As a result of the collapse of the bridge, several different parts of Baniakilinda became submerged in water.
