BSF personnel on Sunday seized three tiffin bombs from the roadside near Machhkund in Odisha’s Koraput district, reports said.
According to reports, the Central forces, while patrolling in the Lampataput area, got information about the tiffin bombs planted near Machhkund hydropower station.
During the operation, the BSF personnel found three tiffin bombs and two remote devices placed under a piece of rock on the roadside.
The seized explosives were later taken to the BSF camp where they were deactivated.
According to police, the Maoists had plans to blast these bombs to halt the advance of the Central forces who have put up a camp at Machhkund.
