Bhubaneswar, June 7:
The two Union ministers from Odisha Jual Oram and Dharmendra Pradhan, who were given a rousing welcome at the BJP office today after their first-ever visit to the state after assuming their new positions, said the BJP will emerge as the number one party in Odisha in the coming days and promised to work for the development of the state under Narendra Modi’s leadership.
“We will emerge as number one party in the coming days in the state. The kind of response that the people have shown in the last elections has given us a reason for hope. We have increased our vote percentage by 100% and I am sure it will increase further if we reach out to the people in the right manner,” said Oram urging the party workers to address the problems of the people.
The Union Tribal Affairs Minister said he will work for the tribal people in the state and try to address their problems, particularly vis-a-vis the mining issues that have been haunting them.
Union Petroleum and Natural Gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan said Odisha will become the economic hub of the country in the coming days and will emerge as an economically prosperous state.
“Prime Minister Narenrda Modi has said the development of the country is inextricably linked with the development of eastern India. He has also attached great importance to Odisha by inducting two of us in his ministry. We both will work for the development and progress of the state,” said Pradhan.
