Bhubaneswar, April 8:
The Odisha BJP today alleged that BJD youth wing president Sanjay Dasburma has enrolled himself as a voter in two Assembly constituencies in violation of the Representation of Peoples’ Act.
“While there is a rule that one person can register in one Assembly constituency, the Brahmagiri MLA and BYJD president has enrolled his name in Bhubaneswar (Central) constituency as also Brahmagiri constituency from which he is seeking re-election as the BJD candidate,” said Sajjan Sharma, BJP spokesperson here.
He also said Dasburma had cast his vote in Bhubaneswar during municipal elections.
The party has decided to approach the Election Commission in this regard.
The party also repeated its earlier allegation that the ruling party is using 108 ambulances and government machinery to distribute money to the voters in Sambalpur and Bargarh areas and that it was being overlooked by police officials.
