Although Bikram Keshari Arukh’s name was being discussed as the possible BJD candidate for the Kandhamal Lok Sabha seat, now that he has been given ticket for his old assembly seat Bhanjanagar, the party is likely to name someone else instead for the parliamentary constituency.

Interestingly, the sitting Redhakhol MLA and Finance minister Prasanna Acharya has been shifted to Bijepur constituency and Rohit Pujari who was the party’s candidate for the Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat in 2009 has been allotted Redhakhol assembly constituency. Sources said, while Acharya was insisting on sticking to his old seat, Pujari was lobbying hard for Redhakhol.
