Bhubaneswar, Feb 11:
Both BJD and Congress, who had been the prime targets of the BJP attack during the massive Vijay Sankalp rally here today have reacted along expected lines, claiming this will have no impact on the people of Odisha.
When asked about the BJP rally today, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said, “The visit of Modi will have no impact on BJD or the people of Odisha.”
Former Finance minister and BJD vice-president Prafulla Ghadai said Naveen Patnaik is in the hearts of the people and they will never be fooled by the words of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate.
Congress also lashed out at Narendra Modi for branding the party corrupt.
“Modi, who is accusing other political parties of this or that, should first act against his own minister (Amit Shah) for his involvement in corruption. However, his prime ministerial dream would not be fulfilled as people will reject him and his party in the coming elections,” said state Congress media cell chairman Narasingh Mishra.
He said, if the Gujarat chief minister is saying there has been no development in Odisha during the last 14 years, he said Modi indirectly admitted that BJP has done nothing for the state, who was an ally of ruling BJD from 2000 to 2009.
