Bhubaneswar, May 7:

Three days after a group clashed injured four students in BJB College of Odisha capital, the student’s union of the autonomous college today organised a demonstration seeking rustication of the group of students who were involved in the May 3 clash.

Even though the demonstration was largely peaceful, some of the students broke the college notice board and locked down the main gate.

The students later withdrew the protest following a discussion with Principal of the college Prof Mohammed Nawaz – who assured the students of prompt action.

It may be noted here that four students had been critically injured in the May 3 group clash wherein a group of students, backed by non-students, attacked a fellow group of students in front of the college gate over past enmity pertaining to student’s union polls.
