Bhubaneswar: With only six days left for the Bijepur by-poll in Odisha’s Bargarh district on February 24, campaigning by major political parties for their candidates is in full steam.
BJD president and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has made a minor change in his campaigning schedule for party candidate Rita Sahu.
According to party sources, Patnaik who was to campaign for Sahu on February 19th and 21st will do so on February 20th and 21st.
As per the revised schedule, the BJD president will hold a road show and address a public meeting at Barpali on February 20 and will campaign at Bijepur and Gaislet on February 21, party sources added.
While Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram and others have already hit on the campaign trail for BJP candidate Ashok Panigrahi, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Prasad Harichandan and Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly are campaigning for party candidate Pranay Sahu.
