Three Union ministers – Jual Oram, Najma Heptullah and Dharmendra Pradhan – state BJP president K V Singhdeo, BJP’s Odisha in-charge Arun Singh, three BJP general secretaries, West Bengal BJP chief Rahul Sinha, party chiefs from Sikkim and Andaman Nicobar Islands have met the RSS chief in the last 24 hours.

While all the leaders preferred to remain silent before the media on what transpired at the two sessions of three hours duration, sources within the Sangh said the leaders were advised to stick to the Hindutva agenda and were advised on strategies to be adopted to strengthen the Sangh’s roots in the eastern states.

The RSS chief taught BJP leaders on strategies for strengthening the base of RSS in the eastern states in the first session and answered queries of the leaders in the secon, the sources said.

Union Tribal Affairs minister Jual Oram, who was quizzed by the media while leaving the camp premises on what transpired at the meeting, was the only leader who obliged.

“What is discussed in a Sangh baithak is not revealed. I cannot tell you what was discussed. The party is doing well in the state. Amit Shah is coming to the state, A preparatory meeting in this regard has been held at K V Singhdeo’s residence. It will be grand programme,” said Oram speaking to the media outside the meeting premises.

On being asked about Union Minority Affairs minister Najma Heptullah’s visit to the state, he said it’s good that many ministers are focusing on the state.

“We have plans for holding massive rallies from the four corners – east, west, north and south – in the state in 2015 to boost the party’s strength,” said Suresh Pujari, the BJP’s state spokesperson.

RSS chief Bhagwat has been camping here for the last four days holding camps with RSS cadres and organizers from Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim and Andaman & Nicobar for strengthening and spreading the RSS base in these states.
