Ruby Nanda had a tete-a-tete with the hot babe, who got 3rd runner up title in recently held Miss United Continent in Ecuador.
Q. Congratulations on winning the best National Costume title and Miss Photogenic in Miss United Continent 2015.
A: Thank you so much. There’s a lot of mixed feelings because the journey has been incredible so far. I’ve made so many wonderful friends and such amazing memories here that I don’t want this journey to end….I’m savouring each and every moment…
Q. Did you face any opposition from your family while taking up modelling as a profession?
A: I’ve the best parents in the world. Everything that I’m today is because of them. There are times when I give up, and then my parents step in and push me harder to keep on pursing my dreams.
Q. You have represented India and Odisha in many beauty pageants, are they fun or hard work?
A: Well, it’s a mixture of both hard work and fun. It requires a lot of discipline and focus and determination but at the same time lots of fun. It gives me a high and I enjoy it to the hilt.
Q. Your advice to girls aspiring for modelling or beauty pageants
A: Believe in who you are as each of you has something unique to offer. And have the courage to pursue your dreams then the world is your oyster!
Q. Tell us something about your fitness regime
A: I workout, dance and eat right, I don’t believe in starving and more than anything else being happy solves a multitude of problem.
Q. Did you get time to watch Ananya Nanda’s win in Junior Indian Idol, your comments.
A: I’ve not been able to follow the show because I was so caught up with a busy schedule preparing for the pageant. However, my parents did keep updating me because it was such a proud moment for all of us and I want to steal this moment to congratulate her, this is just the beginning to many wonderful opportunities to come her way. I hope I get to meet her someday soon.
Q. Tell us something about your hobbies.
A: I love reading, making scrapbooks ,dancing, horse riding, scuba diving, baking, watching American TV shows, to name a few.
Q. How do you relax? And what is your favourite comfort food?
A: I love coffee and conversations, that’s my idea of relaxing. I love chocolates and desserts, so anything sweet and chocolaty makes happy.
Q. Would you be interested in doing Odia films too? Any offers as yet?
A: May be yes if right opportunity comes the way.
